Ha! I'm actually managing to keep up with Kinktober this year. Yes, it's day 4. Only day 4. That's literally the best I've ever done with this dang month of smut writing.
And today I'm writing Dabi x reader, and honestly I sometimes wish I didn't keep this blog SFW because it's so steamy I wanna share it.

Indecent Proposal - Chapter 27
Start from the beginning
Chapter 26
Jared's POV
"Did you catch up with her," I ran to Shannon when I saw him entering the house.
"Yeah. She doesn't want to see you anymore, bro. You really messed up this time," Shannon replied and my heart sank.
I was devastated. Furious. Broken. Everything that Melody was probably feeling at the same time. But that wasn't going to end like that. I had to find that bastard and give him a piece of my mind.
"I may have messed up, but this isn't over. That punk is going to get what he deserves," I was determined to get my revenge and try to fix this unfortunate situation with my Melody. I couldn't let her think I was playing with her when she means everything to me.
"What do you mean," Shannon was confused.
"I'm going back to New York and I'm taking matters into my own hands."
Melody's POV
"Hey, do you think I could stay with you for a few days," I called Jamie on my aimless walk. He was the only person who could understand and be there for me without judging me.
Jamie on the phone " Over here? Why? What happened, are you okay? "
"I don't really know. All I do know is that I need a friend right now."
"Of course. You know you're always welcome here. But just so you know, Karen is here too," Jamie said.
"I know. That makes the situation a bit more difficult but I can't be alone right now and I don't have anywhere else to go," Karen was the one I feared the most. She disapproved of this relationship since I told her about it and now I'm going to face the 'I told you so' I really don't want to hear.
"We'll be waiting for you."
"Thanks. I'll see you in a bit."
Knock, knock...
"Hello there Mrs. Leto," Jamie said with the silliest grin on his face.
"Ha ha, very funny," I replied.
"That's not a face of a newlywed woman," Jamie noticed that I wasn't feeling my best.
"You have no idea," I replied throwing myself into his arms. I missed that hug ever since he was chained to the bed due to his illness.
"Whoa. That's not good," Jamie wrapped his arms around me tightly and felt my sobs starting to intensify. "What on Earth happened? Are you hurt? Where's Jared?"
"I'll need a drink first," I said wiping the tears off my face.
"Why are you crying, sweetie? What did that jerk do now," Karen asked as she handed me a glass of gin.
"He proved to be the bastard you always warned me he would be," I answered and sipped.
"Who's the slut", Jamie asked.
"Oh God, Jamie. It's nothing like that. It's far worse, actually," I answered and stood up to walk my anger away.
I started telling them all about the things that happened to me ever since Jared and I tied the knot, and each event became more unbelievable as the words rolled down my tongue. I couldn't tell if Jamie or Karen was more baffled. I could tell that on some level Karen wanted to give Jared the benefit of the doubt, but after this, Karen would never be able to forgive him. She has always been overprotective of me. Sometimes more than she was of Jamie. Maybe because I was a girl and maybe because I was all alone without my parents. Either way, she would never allow anyone to hurt me without paying for it.
"You're not going back to him, are you," Karen asked after I was done with the story.
"I was hoping I could stay here for a few days. Jared doesn't know where Jamie lives, and the last thing I need is for him to stalk me at home".
"Of course. You'll take the guest bedroom and I'll be home now. You and Jamie have a lot to catch up on, and he doesn't need both of us to babysit him". Karen joked as she winked at Jamie.
"Ha-ha, very funny, mother. I didn't need you to babysit me anyway, but some people ar just impossible to kick out". Jamie went along with his humour.
"I promise I'll stay only for a couple of days until I can figure out how to grab all my stuff without being noticed".
"Don't worry, Melody. You know you can stay here for as long as you need to. But you do know you won't be able to run away from him for long. You are married, after all", Jamie said.
"I was never the one to run away from problems and I'm not about to start doing that now. I just need some time to think. Plus, this whole fake marriage situation suddenly went out of control and it's going to be even more difficult to get out of it. Why did I have to be so stupid to fall in love?"
"The heart wants what it wants, right", Jamie said.
"I wish we could fall in love with our brains. What good is it to follow your heart if it's only going to end up broken in the end?"
My phone kept buzzing ever since I had left Jared's house. Text after text, call after call. Jared was ever so persistent to reach me. Little did he know I was the queen of ignoring. I turned my phone off and went to bed. The entire night was filled with flashbacks of my and Jared's relationship. From the first time we met to all the differences we've had in between to the moment when he proposed this ridiculous arrangement, the proposal itself, marriage and honeymoon to this day here. I have given everything to that man. He has taken my purest feelings, my body, my soul, all of my love.
The next morning I woke up at the crack of dawn. It's safe to say I didn't catch even a wink of sleep and I just wanted the previous day to be over. Waking up in Jamie's home brought back so many memories but quickly brought me back to reality. I need to figure out what I need to do about Jared and our marriage. Do I give him a chance to explain himself? Or should I take the less forgiving way and get my revenge? Who should I listen to this time, my heart or my brain? Love vs reason - the neverending battle that has brought misery to so many lovers.

Sano trio for the ask game please?? 👀✨
YAYY!!! my boys<3<3<3
rin:
1: sexuality headcanon gay gay homosexual gay gay. also, i learned about what transgender was due to some trans rin headcanons/fanfics/meta i read during the height of the fandom, so trans man rin is also something that's been in the back of my mind 2: otp sourin >>>>> permanently changed my brain chemistry and ideal of relationship; rinrei is so much funnn i swear; and ofc sano trio as a whole!! 3: brotp rin & haru--while i don't think of them romantically, their relationship is the cornerstone of the whole story and i love how they're always pushing each other to go further rin & nagisa--such an underrated relationship but in the original book rin teaches nagisa to swim and nagisa from then on really looked up to rin as an older mentor. i love them because they're so unexpected as a friendship, but they really have a deep bond that i wish was more present in the show (besides a few "rin-rin!") rin & makoto--SUCH an important relationship for both of them!!!!! they're the real complements of each other, i think, rin is fiery and passionate and sharp and makoto is grounded and doting and UGHHHH 4: notp when i was younger i'd say rin x haru, less due to the actual relationship and more due to the way SOME fans treated me at the tender age of like 13.... i don't dislike them enough to say they're my notp, but i guess yeah, they're my notp 5: first headcanon that pops into my head he's a thirty seconds to mars stan (bc of that one shirt he wore that looked like the 30stm triangle...) fuck jared leto and everything but i think rin learned english partially through music. he's also a swiftie 6: favorite line from this character oh god.... "PERFECT BODY" 7: one way in which I relate to this character every way he's my blorbo whom i project onto ever since i was in middle school . um. who said that i think i really connected to both his emotional crybaby ways (i cry at conflict), his hopeless romantic nature, and his insecurities, feeling like you're meant to do something but you hit a wall and just.,. can't. 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character his fashion.......i'm sorry but........ i cannot defend you ....... 9. cinnamon roll or problematic fave? LOL depends on who you ask! he's a cinnamon roll who looks like he can kill you
sousuke:
1: sexuality headcanon: also gay but at the same time, i don't think he really cares much for romance outside of his immediate partner, you know? so i guess somewhere on the demi spectrum 2: otp sourin, again, and soukisu, and basically the whole sano trio. oooh special mentions to soumako and souharu, for no real canon reason aside from them having some really good fan artists and writers 3: brotp sousuke & nitori & momo; he's a good mentor to them, and they have so much respect for him (while knowing how to have fun). sousuke & gou--after rin left for australia, i imagine him and gou spending more time together. bonding over rin lol there was that scene where he gave her his jacket during the water gun fight that always gets me 4: notp hmm. don't really have one? maybe sousuke x gou? i really can't think of him viewing her as anything other than his sister 5: first headcanon that pops into my head that he likes opera, and this is ENTIRELY due to an old fic @testosterogna wrote that i read back in my youth and i SOMEHOW actually forgot i read it in a fic and thought it was canon. 6: favorite line from this character "because i knew you would cry" (ಥ﹏ಥ) 7: one way in which I relate to this character we're both stoic and monotone and come across as aloof/cold. he probably has a touch of the 'tism like haruka does. oh and i'm terrible at directions kajsdhaskljdh 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character when he found haru and backed him into the wall like "don't u DARE hurt my man again >:(" and haru was like :| you dUMBASS WHY DID YOU HIDE YOUR STUPID INJURY ??? DO NOT DESTROY YOUR CAREER FOR LOVE!!!! IDIOT (ಥ﹏ಥ) 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? looks like he could kill you, doesn't care enough to try
kisumi
1: sexuality headcanon this is one i'm actually 10000% assured of, unlike the other two above where i was just like 'yeah probably' this is something i actually dedicated a LOT of time to thinking about and even starting a fic years ago: he's asexual. i don't remember WHAT i read all those years ago, but i found some asexual kismui hcs and it just clicked. i can't imagine him any other way. i think he's also demi or grayromantic; his 'relationships' are closer to QPR than, i suppose, traditional 'romance.' he's sex-favorable to neutral, but it's not something he really craves and he doesn't feel sexual attraction. he's still a massive flirt and a gossip and loves to know about/mess with his friends' love lives 2: otp sano trio!!! asakisu too, and hiyokisu could be fun. 3: brotp kisumi & makoto. "JOIN THE BASKETBALL CLUB!!!!!!" 4: notp kisumi x most people 5: first headcanon that pops into my head well, the first one is that he's ace, the second is that he's a plant lover, which is less headcanon than it is me extrapolating from some official art 6: favorite line from this character probably everything he says to haru. OHH and when he casually is like "oooh sousuke didn't tell you about his super plot-relevant secret? oooh too bad. anyway i'm out!" 7: one way in which I relate to this character me having ace kisumi was 100% me projecting when i was younger and ID as asexual, but i relate to the love/protectiveness he feels over his younger brother 8: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character the way he tried to get everyone to join his basketball team </3 baby you're in the wrong anime you missed the casting calls for kuroko i'm sorry 9: cinnamon roll or problematic fave? sinnamon roll :3

The Kid of Mars – Chapter 75 – The walls that we built from bottles and pills
Later that day Catherine dragged herself to bed. She was really tired, with Jared absent she had been accumulating more and more responsibilities at work, some of them weren’t even directly related to her original functions but someone had to keep the boat sailing and she knew that the only people Jared fully trusted was she and Emma. Moreover, the fact that she was almost eight months pregnant wasn’t exactly helping her either.
When she walked into the room Jared was still in a heavy sleep, all curled up and looking like a little boy trying to hide from something. “Honey, if you sleep like this your back will bother you tomorrow.” She tried to make him move, but the pills given to him were really doing their job, so she ended up moving his dead weight the best she could. Catherine laid next to him and wrapped her arms around his body. Usually he would react and protectively hug her back but that didn’t happen that night.
In the morning, when she woke up found Jared with his eyes already opened and staring at the ceiling. “Good morning sleepy head. How are you feeling today?” She tenderly caressed his head, placing his long hair away from his eyes. “Weird” He answered, his voice a little emotionless. “You’ll be better soon. You must be hungry…” That moment Shannon knocked on the door and Catherine told him to come in. He had spent the night there in case something was needed. “Hey bro. How high are you?” Shannon joked but after crossing eyes with Catherine realized that wasn’t the right mood. “I’m going to prepare something for us to eat.” She stood up and Jared tried to the same but almost felt to the floor. “I’m ok, just dizzy.” He tried to justify. “Do you want me to bring you breakfast here?” Catherine suggested, worried about him. “No. I’m not sick” He dryly answered. “Let me help you then.” Shannon wasn’t taking no for an answer.
After breakfast they were expecting him to start getting ready to go to the hospital but surprisingly he went straight back to bed, without a word. Catherine and Shannon looked at each other and followed him. “Are you still feeling dizzy?” Catherine was trying to understand what was wrong. “I don’t know. That shit they gave to me yesterday messed with me… I just need to rest for a bit.” At least they got a couple of sentences. “I’m going to the hospital Jay. Do you wanna come with me to check on Ricky? You can return with mom.” Shannon suggested, not really sure about what to expect. “I… I can’t do it today…” He was trying hard to find and excuse but they could see the sadness covering his features once again. “It’s ok honey. You don’t have to go. Just take the day to rest, it’ll be good for you.” Catherine cupped his face and kissed his head. “Yeah, you don’t have to worry. We’ll look after Ricky.” Shannon assured. “Thanks. Could you leave me alone for a while?” He didn’t asked that in an unpleasant or angry way. He just seemed tired. “Sure. Just call me if you need anything.” Catherine reminded before she and Shannon left.
“He’s not ok.” She concluded, the moment they were far enough from Jared’s room. “That’s not my brother. My brother doesn’t say he needs to rest and doesn’t go to bed after having breakfast.” It was time for Shannon to freak out. “But he really needs to rest. Maybe if he sleeps enough, he’ll be back to his normal self and the pills the doctors prescribed will help him…” Catherine tried to be rational. “I hope you’re right. But he didn’t even call my mom to know how Ricky’s doing.” She couldn’t deny that all his behavior was weird but justified. “You told me yourself the doctor said he’s depressed. A depression doesn’t go away from a day to another, we need to be patient with him.” Shannon ended up sitting down and took a deep breath. “You’re right. Honestly I don’t even know how he held up during all this time. I’d have gone crazy months ago.”
A couple of hours later Constance arrived home and hugged Catherine tightly. “Shannon told me about Jared. How’s he now?” She asked, obviously concerned about the wellbeing of his son. “He hasn’t left the room yet. Every time I go in there he just pretends to be asleep.” She confessed. “I’ll see if he talks to me.” Constance decided. She was clearly very tired too, but that mother instinct spoke louder. “How is Ricky?” Catherine finally asked, already mentally prepared do bad news. “He’s stable. Still asleep and connected to machines but not worse.” Not everything could be terrible after all. Constance finally went to check on his son and Catherine tried to work for a little but curiosity took the best of her so she decided to check what was going on. Before arriving she could already listen to the sobs and she didn’t had to enter the room to see Jared crying on his mother’s arms while she tried to calm him down. They stayed like that until late in the evening.
On the next morning Jared wasn’t by her side when she woke up. Catherine’s immediately thought that it was a good sign to have him out of bed. She search for him and found him in the studio working. That was nothing unusual but then she saw a cup full of something that was neither water nor almond milk. “Good morning.” Jared forced a smile when realized Catherine was watching him. “Jared, honey…” Catherine started when saw the bottle of whiskey. “You don’t drink in the morning or in any other hour and definitely not while taking medication.” She took that away from him. “I know, don’t judge me please. I thought that it would help me calming down.” He tried to justify himself. “I’m actually trying to work on something.” He smiled at her, looking for some approval. “I’m happy that you’re trying to work but maybe you should take it easy… Do you want to visit Ricky today?” His behavior was still odd. “Not yet. I’d rather stay here and work on some music. He isn’t conscious so it’s not like he’ll miss me.”
Catherine decided not to force him. However he refused to visit his son not only on the following day, but on the following week. Not only that but he refused to take his medication and to see any doctor or therapists and he had been drinking. Not that he was walking around drunk but it was becoming usual to find him with a bottle of some liquor next to him. “Dude, what the hell are you doing?” Shannon asked when caught him and while taking the glass out of his hand. “You’re the last person that can tell me not to drink, Shannon.” Jared got all defensive. “This is not about me. You’re better than this Jared and you know how this can end. If you were on your right state of mind you wouldn’t be doing this and you wouldn’t spend one week without visiting your son.” Shannon was grabbing him by his shoulders and almost shaking him. “You wanted me to come home and rest and that’s what I’ve been doing. Just let me live my life ok? Last time I checked you had your own shit to worry about.” He got free from Shannon’s grab and turned his back on him. “If it still concerns you, Ricky is getting better. Maybe they will wake him up soon.” Jared was already moving out of the room but stopped and took a deep breath. “Then what? He’ll get worse again?” He kept walking away.
Later that day Catherine headed to the studio trying to find Jared. It was already late in the evening and it had been hours since the last time she had saw him. Shannon had spoken to her about their incident earlier and she had decided that it was time to tell him a couple of truths. However she couldn’t find him at the studio neither anywhere else in the house. She tried to call him but he wouldn’t pick up his cellphone. She tried again, left some messages, always without an answer.  She was already panicking a little when decided to call Shannon. He was at the hospital with Constance and she thought that maybe Jared had gone there to finally see his son. But he wasn’t there either. Realizing how nervous she sounded, Shannon asked her to sit down and wait for him, promising that they would find Jared. Catherine did as she was told but didn’t stop trying to call him.
In a blink of an eye Shannon was back home and trying to comfort her the best he could. “I already called some of his friends, searched on social media, googled him…” Catherine was crying while trying to explain. “I should have checked on him earlier Shannon. I knew he was not ok.” She was panicking and blaming herself. “It’s not your fault. I was the last one who saw him and I wasn’t exactly kind.”  Shannon was also felling guilty, thinking how Jared had always been there to support him. “I’m going to drive around and maybe call some guys… We’ll find him.” He was trying to make a plan when they heard some noise outside. “Stay here.” Shannon ordered and went there to check what was going on. He saw a cab, a pissed driver, and someone clumsily trying to open the gate. It took a moment for him to realize that it was Jared. Shannon ran next to his brother without knowing if he should hug him in relief or hit him hard. He opened the gate himself and Jared immediately felt into his arms. “That guy is completely drunk. He yelled and cried all the way here. Is this even the right address?” The driver complained. “Yes it is.” Shannon answered while picking a ridiculous amount of money from his wallet. “I guess that’s enough. Thank you for service, please forget about this incident.” The pissed looked on the driver’s face was replaced by a grin when saw all that cash.
“Where is Catherine? I need to see her and explain…” Jared cried while his brother was trying to take him inside. He was terribly drunk. “She’s inside. Explain what man?” Shannon was trying to understand what he meant. Jared was about to answer but threw up on his own doorstep. “It’s ok. Just let it go.” Shannon told him as Catherine appeared at the door to see what was going on. “Oh my God Jared. I was so worried…” Jared threw himself into her arms the moment he saw her, missing his own puddle of puke for a tiny bit. “I’m so sorry. I really am… I didn’t meant to.” Catherine hugged him tightly without really understanding what he was talking about. “It’s ok honey. You’re home now.” But Jared kept crying and shanking his head. “No, you have to know. I was drunk and she sat on my lap and tried to kiss me but then I stopped. I swear that I stopped and ran away and got into a cab…” He said all of that in a single breath, without stopping crying. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” He knelt in front of her begging for her forgiveness. His beautiful blue eyes were red and he seemed lunatic. “It’s ok Jared. We’ll talk about it in the morning.” She tried to tranquilize him as Shannon was helping him back on his feet. She didn’t even know if what he had just said actually happened and if so if she should be mad. At the moment she could feel nothing but pity towards him. “No it’s not ok. You don’t deserve me. You should ran away and take our daughter with you. I’m a terrible father and I will never be a good husband.” Catherine didn’t know what to say anymore. The entire situation was just sad. Meanwhile Shannon was doing his best to carry his little brother to the room. “Come on Jay. Stop making a fool of yourself. You need a shower and to sleep.” However Jared was still offering some resistance. “Catherine, please. Forgive me and promise me you’ll stay here.” He begged once again. Catherine walked to his side and tenderly kissed his forehead, ignoring the mixed smell of vomit and alcohol. “I’m not going anywhere with this huge belly of mine. But we all need to rest. Go with Shannon and I’ll meet you in a bit.” Those words calmed Jared down enough for him to allow Shannon to drag him. “I love you and I want to marry you.” He said when no one else was expecting more words. Catherine didn’t know how to answer to that and stayed quiet, assuming it was also the alcohol speaking. Shannon just shook his head and forced Jared into his room.

“Fuck, I need you so badly right now,” Shannon grunted, his breathing laboured as his mouth found Tobey’s again, kissing her passionately, his groin guided by lust as it pressed against her, backing her into the hallway wall.
“Then let’s make that easier for you.” She purred tantalisingly, removing the tight, dark red dress that’d hugged her figure in all the right places, revealing a set of equally sexy underwear beneath. Her dark pink nipples strained against the fine mesh fabric of her bra, those stiffened little peaks begging for the attention of his mouth.
She was gratified in waves when he reached behind her and undid the clasp, pulling the bra from her and dropping it on the floor, his hands massaging the soft, fleshy mounds, his tongue finding her nipples and flicking across them in turn. She gasped, her hands stroking over his short, dark hair, her body seeming to blend fluidly with his as she arched it against him, his hardness pressing into her hip.
God, she wanted him. Needed him. Absolutely had to have him.
His sexily unkempt facial hair made her feel like she was being scratched with wire wool as he spent time attending to her breasts with his mouth, that feeling scintillating though, imagining now how delicious the prickle of that scruff would be the further his eager lips descended her body.
Picking her up he carried her to his bedroom, stripping her naked but her black hold up stockings and enjoying the site of her laid before him, her body at his mercy, tanned skin seeming to glow a little against the white backdrop that was his bed.
Her entire being hummed with sexual arousal the likes of which mingled with his, their kisses fervent, their hands stroking each other as they became acquainted with one another in this brand new sense, Tobey pulling his shirt off and delighting in the feel of his soft, dark chest hair tickling her hard, wet nipples.
His tongue went back to them in an instant, his big, rough, powerful hands sliding under her body and gripping her ass, bearing his weight down against her centre through his groin, the mass of hard cock tenting his jeans bumping against her clit. It was his intention too, to tease her with such promise, to make her ache to feel the unsheathed version grinding against her. Not yet though. First, he wanted to taste her.
Her skin was like the flavour of some exotic fruit his palette was yet to be familiar with, his tongue navigating a path down her body, kisses being sprinkled over her tattoos, his teeth yanking at her navel piercing. Her legs skimmed his side, the silk of her stockings soft against his skin, driving him wild with desire as he began to peel them down. They’d have their use.
“So he’s into restraint,” Tobey noted, after Shannon had treated each of her legs to a series of strokes and kisses so potent they’d been left quivering, both stockings now in his hands as he held her wrist to the bed frame and used one to tie it there with.
“You bet your sweet ass I am, baby.” He replied with a wink, his voice deepened a few octaves by the lust charging through him, binding her other arm before he slid himself out of his jeans and boxers, kissing her hotly and pressing his erection to her slit. He moaned in disbelief at feeling how hot and aqueous she was already, fighting the urge to slide right inside her.
It tempted him within an inch of his sanity, but he managed, sliding down the bed and kissing her ribcage, Tobey giggling a little through her excited gasps at how tickly it felt. His tongue swirled over her hip, the scent of her arousal flooding his nasal passages and making it impossible to wait one second longer for his tongue to reach where he craved to let it glide to. He moved between her legs and stroked her slit few times with his fingers, opening her up to his mouth and gently blowing on her clit before he dipped his tongue into her slick folds, wiggling it back and forth until it reached her little bud.
Tobey moaned wantonly as she pulled against her restraints, her inner thighs brushing against the stubbly face that had felt so good when he’d sucked her nipples, now feeling even better as his full lips encircled her clit and began to suck gently. She tasted sweet yet sharp, intoxicating on his tongue, her hot, wet flesh making him eat at her greedily, tongue lapping at her like a dehydrated man consumed by thirst.
“Ohhhhh, mmmm yeah, you’re too good.” She whispered through her gasps, her hands gripping the silky fabric of her restraints as her back arched off the bed, Shannon using his fingers in conjunction with his tongue to stroke at her, her pussy becoming hotter and swollen from her arousal. Pushing them inside her, he felt her walls throbbing around them, her excitement elevating his own desire as he moved his tongue in a rhythmic beat up and down over her clit.
His fingers had her leaking a torrent of arousal all over his hand, pausing to suck her wetness from them and groan with satisfaction before pushing three back into her engorged core, making her writhe against him as her legs closed a little more. She yelled, groaned, mewled and cried out as his tongue licked at her rapidly, his fingers beginning to set a pace of quick plunging into her molten pussy.
“I want you. Please, please, Shannon. I need you to fuck me. I need to feel that gorgeous dick inside of me!” she begged, her hips juddering against his face, the unbridled ecstasy he conjured free flowing, shattering her, ruining her as his tongue danced over her nub even faster.
“Soon, baby girl. Soon.” He promised, sucking on her again and making her wail. He was in no hurry to give up what his mouth had sought, her taste and scent overpowering to his own will to be within the tight constriction that bathed his fingers in the milky secretions of her centre. Just licking at her clit and finger fucking her was keeping his arousal burning so brightly he was still hard as iron.
He then pulled away from her a little, the vigour which he had been eating her with replaced by softer touches, barely using his tongue against her at all as he circled her clit slowly, decreasing the contact even more by merely dotting the tip against her bud.
She yanked at her restraints, her hips thrusting against his face in desperate hope he’d stimulate her aching wetness harder again, Shannon tutting and pushing her back down, his strength overpowering her. “You stay right where you are, be a good girl for me now.” His voice carried a hint of balefulness that did nothing but exacerbate her arousal further, his tongue once again dipping into her wet slit and dragging up to her clit, yet barely made contact at all.
The tingles of his tease had her panting and crying out, the restrictions of her stocking ties and his hands on her hips now annoying her more than they did add scintillation to the encounter. She craved to be free, to touch him, to grope at his spectacular body, to move freely against him.
She knew she could beg for release, but that he was likely to not give it to her despite her all-consuming, thunderous need for gratification, to sate her raging desires, to just feel him beneath her fingers. Still though, all her silent yearning got was more teasing, his tongue darting out to patter over her clit lightly again, quickly too but still oh so gently.
“Shannon…please!” she growled through gritted teeth, unable to prevent her pleas from leaving her mouth as the wildfire of lust burned through her unstoppably. His need to tease was overtaken in that moment, her violent trembles coursing through her sweat beaded body signalling to him just how far gone she was, which in turn propelled his own need to be within her. It wouldn’t be fair to make her wait for him any longer.
“Is this what you need, Tobey?” he asked, her name sounding sexier than it was when he said it. Kneeling in front of her open legs he used his knees to push them as wide apart as they’d go, taking hold of his throbbing erection and stroking her slit with it. Just that first contact made them both jolt with delirious anticipation, Tobey feeling the slippery head of his dick oozing all over her as he pressed it against her clit and rubbed.
“Yes, I need you, every last inch of you!” she virtually howled, too far gone to worry about pride. She had none, she was at his mercy completely. She needed the rapture only he could transport her to and she needed it at that moment, like her life depended on it.
He leaned forward to kiss the centre of her body, his dick sliding down to finally meet her gaping entrance, pushing against it but not quite penetrating her, merely opening her a little, feeling that soft heat allow for him.
Her juices coated him thickly as his mouth travelled up between her tits, choosing the moment he bit down hard on her right nipple to finally glide within her. Her cry of satisfaction at being filled was muted only by the depth of his groan, her insides hugging him tightly, bathing him in sublime molten slickness, clenching around him strongly.
He emitted a shuddered breath as he buried his mouth against her neck, his hands reaching up to undo her bindings one by one, Tobey relishing in the immediate contact of his hands gripping hers as he drew back, thrusting into her again with a sigh.
“God damn, you feel…ahhhh.” He groaned, unable to form any further words as he moved within her at a steady pace, establishing a rhythm that allowed him to feel her without hurry to his thrusts, her heat clenching around him all he needed to make his desire for her skyrocket.
Her hands then moved to grip his shoulders, her legs curling up around his waist as she rocked against him in total synchronicity, his pubic bone driving into her clit with every plunge into her pussy.
In that moment, he was everything, the air she needed but the force that drowned her, the one who built her up and who would break her down again, all with the utterly delectable nirvana he bestowed upon her. He was a lover to keep hold of, this she was certain of.
Moving back to kneeling he took one of her legs and placed it against his chest, the angle making him sink a little deeper within her as he leaned down over her, his mouth finding hers in a furiously hot kiss as he began to thrust more purposefully, the pace quickening.
Tobey felt like someone was sending little electric shocks all the way though her body as his dick hit every single nerve ending riddled spot with her, her mouth falling open as she exclaimed in a series of high pitched cries with every breath she took.
“Oh, fuck me, yeah!” she encouraged him with, tilting her hips further against him to secure that delicious alignment of his hardness grinding into her g spot, his thumb at her clit as he groaned and turned his head to kiss her leg.
The tightness around him was almost unbearably good, her exclamations the sweetest noise ever to his ears, wanting to give her more but not wanting to loose himself in the process. She felt too good for this to be the kind of sex that would be over before it had truly begun.
He stared down into her pale blue eyes, his own golden hazel orbs looking just as electrifying to her as hers did to him, kissing her again hungrily, his tongue snaking into her mouth and dancing with hers.
After a few more moments of steadiness, he finally felt secure enough in containing his spiralling arousal enough to plunge into her more intently, Tobey wailing at the top of her voice as he began to pound her into the bed, panting against her neck as he nipped at her soft, smooth skin, groaning gutturally as their bodies moved together fluidly.
Without warning she then turned him with a combined effort of her leg over his shoulder and her hands pressing against his chest, getting him onto his back and slipping his hardness back into her warmth. She squeezed around him strongly, grinding herself up and down on his perfect cock as she moaned, playing with her tits as she stared down at him.
He felt like he was slipping into a trance at her beauty, her raw sexuality, how she moved on top of him. His hands settled at her hips, guiding her up and down on him as their sweaty flesh smacked together.
Reaching behind her he began to smack her ass as she rode him, Tobey leaning forward and gripping the bed frame to give herself better leverage as she controlled the pace, her body powering against his aggressively as she began to lose any composure she might’ve held onto until that point. He wasn’t in control any longer. She’d be in the driving seat of her pleasure from now on, even if she had loved it when he’d tied her up.
The friction between them became positively assiduous, heat building rapidly as they lost control and gave in to recklessness, chasing their releases fervidly and with unstoppable vigour, Shannon gritting his teeth and growling as the heat of climax shot through him like a lightning bolt. Tobey was only seconds behind him, wailing as her pussy clamped around him in spasm and she felt herself falling into the abandon of ultimate ecstasy.
It consumed her so much it took a while to come back down from those heights, feeling tingly and light headed as she panted against his chest, his hands lazily stroking her back as she ran her tongue up his throat and kissed him languidly.
“Give me a half hour to recover and we can do that all over again,” he assured her, kissing her soft, full lips again.
“Can I tie you up this time?” she asked, sliding off him with a little oversensitive judder.
“Baby, you can do anything you like to me.” Those were words she was definitely fond of hearing.
 The End.

A Man On Fire - Chapter 81
“Everything’s ready outside” walking back inside the kitchen, he was met by a spoon full of homemade guacamole “taste! Needs a lot more garlic, doesn’t it?” she puffed a strand of hair out of her eyes looking a little bewildered. “It’s absolutely perfect..” he licked his lips and then looked at the kitchen counter with a million pots, pans, bowls with the most delish food “wooow, wait a minute, you’re cooking up a feast and it’s just a little evening with friends” grinning he took another scoop of the guacamole. “I know but..no, I don’t know, I just thought it’s easier to talk with some good food..oh I still need to make the mozza bowls, arrghh” she spun on her heels but he grabbed her arm “will you just chill? You’ve done more than enough so you go take a nice shower, make yourself even prettier than you already are, I’ll take all this outside in the meantime..oh and stop being nervous, they’ll adore you, trust me”. He pulled her in his arms to plant a soft kiss on her lips that got too deep too quickly “stop it, I’m sticky” she pulled back, waving her fingers covered in guacamole and tomato sauce in front of his face, which was his queue to slowly put two of her fingers in his mouth, ohhh god, erotic much? She already felt her stomach tingle “Oh no you don’t, I know what you’re up to mister, no way, you’ll just have to wait until your bedtime”. That sexy, silly pout of his, walk away now or find yourself shoved against a kitchen counter while he takes you from behind, just the thought of her body being completely owned and possessed by him had her all moist, “Ok ok ok, I don’t like it, but ok” he let her fingers slip out of his mouth and reluctantly let go of her. “Good boy!” she quickly wiped her hands on a towel and hopped on out the kitchen, Jared had a grin from ear to ear until she was out of sight and was met again by a kitchen that looked like a bomb had exploded, sighing he opened the dishwasher door, it’s only fair, she cooked, you clean.
Hair, outfit..hmm, I don’t know, should I wear th.. her thoughts were interrupted by the doorbell, ok leave it, it is what it is, you did your best, nervously she walked down the stairs, Jared was on his way to open the door when she walked down, wowww, she looked absolutely breathtaking. “You look..gorgeous” he smiled up at her, the fact that his friend were on the other side of the door completely forgotten about, “thank you! Uhm floppy hair, your friends are waiting” she giggled. “Heellooo sexy” a skinny, dark haired girl jumped in his arms, purring in his ear, a few friends he said..god, I hope there’s enough food for everyone, she took the last steps and slowly walked up to the bunch of people trickling inside. Should I introduce myself? Stop being so awkward De Robiano, just smile and act confident with the emphasis on ‘act’, “you must be Jared’s new flame” one of the girls noticed her standing behind Jared, “I’m Harper Coco, nice to meet you” she extended her hand, too formal maybe? I’m just not a hugger. The girl lifted her eyebrow at Jared like this was probably the most awkward way that she had been greeted in her entire life, yep Harper, you fucked up, what was it your mother said ‘you can never make a first impression twice’?. But after a few seconds she took Harper’s hand and lightly shook it, ugghh fishhands, Harper uncomfortably pulled back her hand, luckily Jared saved the day “alright alright, you know the way, we’re in the garden” he pointed at the back of the house. “You ok?” he whispered as the gang headed towards the back of the house, “yep, I’ll just go get the bottles” she smiled but he could see the nervous clench in her jaw, “it’s gonna be fine, trust me” he kissed the tip of her nose.
By the time every guest had a drink and something to eat, it was an hour later and the excited conversations were flowing around the table, with all her walking in and out there was only one spot free tucked away at the end of the table. Plopping down on her chair, she took a sip of her wine and tried to follow the conversation, but they were all so wrapped up in each other that she couldn’t get two words in, Jay looked completely in his element though, talking and laughing. Stop stressing, just enjoy the moment, enjoy your man who is in his element like you’ve never seen him before, she leaned back, lit up her cigarette and took a sip of her wine, the weather here reminded her of those Italian summer evenings in a way but did she warm up to LA yet? Nope! Not really, this just wasn’t her home..yet..would it ever be? Come on, make an effort, your man calls it home, then surely you can too. While the rest of the table was reminiscing about previous tours and things only they could know, the guy on her right gave her a friendly smile “so, how’s LA treating ya?”. She gave him an equally friendly smile back “I’m still trying to find my way round I guess..it’s not New York, that’s for sure!” he had really friendly eyes and seemed pretty genuine which was so refreshing in LA-la land. “I’m sorry, where are my manners? I don’t think we’ve been introduced, I’m Harper Coco” she extended her hand which he grabbed and gently shook “Oh you’re right, sorry, I’m Cooper..I’m with Marie-Lou” he pointed at one half of the twin sisters who are curling around Jared. “Aha..” she looked to get a better look of the girl but nah..still ordinary, oh for crying out loud Coco, stop it, for all you know she might be the sweetest woman alive “..and what does Cooper do, besides being Marie-Lou's boyfriend?” she turned her attention at the man again, “I work for a local art dealer”. Her head shot up, he really had her attention now “oh! You buying or selling? Contemporary or classic?” she took another drag of her cigarette, “I’m a buyer and I also scout new talent, shame that you signed with Charles already” he gave her a coy smile “your work is so, so..amazing!”. What?? A fan? “you know my work?” she said genuinely surprised, “know your work? Oh Harper, you really are too precious, how can anyone not be a fan of your work? everyone in the business is asking where Charles has kept you hidden for so long? Your work is such a breath of fresh air..it’s shocking and relevant and completely..” he rambled but paused to find the right words “new..it’s unlike anything anyone has ever seen before”. A warm blush crept around her cheeks, she never knew what to do with compliments of this magnitude “Uhm..thank you”, she wanted to shout at him that she was in a complete panic now that all her inspiration seemed to have dried up but she kept her cool and gave him a grateful nod instead.
”Excuse me a second, I think everyone is ready for a second round of drinks and nibbly things” she got up from her chair, oh come on Jay, get up for a second and help me, talk to me, I just want a few minutes with you, but he didn’t even notice, too wrapped up in his conversations. “Need some help?” Cooper spontaneously got up as well and followed her back to the house, in the kitchen she started rummaging through the fridge, taking out a huge pitcher of L’americano cocktail and then started taking out what seemed like a hundred different bowls of delish food “oh my, a crazy talented painter and a cook as well, Jared is a lucky man”. She never was good with compliments and this man was full of them “thank you, you’re too kind, but why don’t we take all this outside and then you have to tell me all about your job” she blushed and stammered as she handed him the pitcher. Walking back to the table with her hands full, she stopped behind Jared’s chair “Jay, can you make a bit of room and take these?” but he didn’t seem to hear her and the tray was getting really heavy. “Jay?” she kicked his chair a little to make him notice her but like this afternoon he was too wrapped in his bubble of friends, and it was exactly the same girl, Chloe?? Who had to make him aware that she was standing right behind him. “Oh sorry, didn’t see you there” he turned in his chair to take the tray from her, maybe she’d expected him to say something sweet or pull her against him for a second but there was none of that, trying not to look too frustrated she hurried back to her seat. “Try not to stress, I get the same thing with Marie-Lou, she forgets who I am when this bunch gets together, I only decided to come along when I heard who Jared’s new girlfriend was” Cooper shrugged when she sat down again. “I’m not stressing, anyway, let’s talk about you and your job” she quickly pushed a piece of bruschetta in her mouth.
”She’s awfully quiet, isn’t she? She didn’t even try and engage in the conversation” Chloe put her arm on Jared’s back as she stared at Harper sitting by the pool while the party was just getting started. Jared felt so lightheaded, he had way too much to drink “Harper? Oh Chloe, you don’t know what you’re talking about, she’s just got a lot on her mind..she’s been through so much with her family..and she’s still getting used to LA”. Chloe shifted in her seat not too convinced “whatever, just sounds like she's a lot of work, to me..anyway, come on old man and dance with me” she shot up, grabbed his hand and started yanking it. “No, leave it Chloe, I’m gonna check on Coco” he got up but then he watched her get up too, putting her phone to her ear she hurried back to the house, “oh come on, let her take that call, in the meantime you and I are gonna hit your cute improvised dancefloor right now” she pushed him in the direction of the pool. “We haven't talked since..well you know since that horrible night, you didn't return any of my calls, and I can understand why but believe me I've been so worried about you, I just wanted to see how you're holding up?” her brother's voice wurmed itself into her ear, why did she have to pick up? Sighing she sat down at the bottom of the stairs “I moved to LA..to get away from..them” she nearly puked the word “she's..gone way too far, Arno..listen, I know that you're trying to keep me part of the family but you're wasting your time..you heard what she said, she doesn't consider me a part of the family anymore so there's no real point in calling me”. This was a night to forget as soon as possible, who am I kidding, these last couple of days..this whole idea of following her lover to LA was something to forget all about as soon as possible, “you're still my little sister, Coco, that will always make you part of my family..how's LA treating you? And Jared, how is he?” he was determined to keep their conversation going. “Jared has been nothing but kind to me..LA on the other hand..” she pinched the bridge of her nose, no don't dive into all these negative emotions, just try and keep a cool head about it, it's only been days..oh god, I miss New York, I miss getting inspired. “Jared is great, you deserve each other so much, and as far as LA is concerned, it's just a city, and it's only been what? A couple of days? Give it a chance, you've lived all over the world in the past, surely LA will grow on you just like the other countries and cities did” bless him, he was trying to lift her spirits, whether it was working was a whole different matter. “I know..” she sighed, “and how's the painting going?”oh no, straight to the sore spot, “fine..just fine..” she lied, but he was having none of it “ok, out with it, Coco, what's going on?”. Harper bit her lip, should she? “nothing, just a little painter's block, nothing major” oh all those little lies, that is so not you Coco listen Arno, I've gotta go, there's a party going on here tonight and Jared's gonna start looking for me soon, so..I'll call you next week if that's ok for you?”. Arno was very understanding about it so after saying their goodbyes, she threw the phone next to her, so glad she could stop lying, sighing she put her head on her crossed arms, oh Jared it would be so nice if you would actually come looking for me right now..but you're not are you? Just goes to show how different we really are, you have a life and I don't and boy did the truth hurt right now.

Chapter 59: Friends Reunited
Tumblr media
"Close your eyes! We've got a surprise for you!"
The noise in the studio had died away to a whisper and Catherine screwed her eyes shut wondering what the hell her students were up to. She heard a door open and close and a little murmur pass through the class before someone counted: one, two, three ... and she opened her eyes.
A chorus of happy birthdays rang out around the room and Champagne corks popped. Catherine smiled and acknowledged her class with a grin and an outstretched hand.
"This is so sweet. Thank you," she said accepting a glass and toasting the students who were gathering round her and talking over each other as they competed for her attention.

💁🏻 Hello Lovelies!!
I wanted to give you a bit of a ‘Save Me’ update...
As you know, I’ve been working on moving all of my writing to Wattpad which at this point, all but Save Me is completely revised and published. Currently, I’ve posted the first 6 chapters of Save Me and am hard at work on the rest.
As I’ve said, I’ve gone back and am rewriting much of it, adding more about Vivie, especially who she was prior to meeting Jared. It’s something that I wished I had done in the beginning but I think I was just an anxious new writer and excited to get the story out there. I feel it’s totally worth it though. I think all that I’m adding is making the story much more well rounded.
Now comes the hard part...
🙏🏻*Please Don’t Hate Me*🙏🏻
In an effort to finish the revisions on all the previous chapters, I’m putting Save Me on hiatus until February 20, 2019.
From now until then, I’ll be publishing the revised chapters from Part 1 - Chapter 1 all the way to the currently posted, Part 2 - Chapter 83 on Wattpad as one complete work. That said, the next chapter continuing the story from where it’s left off right now will be published on February 20.
I absolutely HATE doing this but unfortunately I’m finding it extremely difficult trying to write flipping back and forth between their early days for the rewrites to where Jared and Vivie are now to keep the story going. If I wasn’t adding so much story especially to the early chapters, it wouldn’t be this way but I am and I hope when you read it you feel it’s worth it too.
I’m asking for a lot of patience with all this, as a reader it sucks having to wait to see how the story ends and I completely understand that. It’s just that Save Me is my baby and I’m so ridiculously attached to this story. There is so much left of it to tell and I want it to be the best it can be....
I know this isn’t the update many of you guys were hoping for and the thought of disappointing you kills me. I love both my incredible readers and this story too much to post crap though.
Thank you so much for all the love and support you’ve shown me for all these years. It’s more than I could have imagined ♥️
Love Always,

Indecent Proposal - Chapter 25
Start from the beginning
Chapter 24
Jared’s POV
I couldn't believe what was happening at that very moment. An amalgamation of emotions overflowed me, and I had absolutely no idea how Melody could ever look at me with that same tenderness she had in her eyes only a few hours ago. I was well aware that I absolutely needed to confess everything about my gruesome act if I wanted at least a glimpse of hope for her forgiveness. My throat shrinking, my palms sweating, and my heart beating so fast altogether, made me a nervous wreck, but Melody deserved to know the truth, and I started explaining everything.
"After you and I decided to get married, and after I proposed, you remember how I had to go to New York for a day," I asked her and she just nodded with a tear rolling down her cheek, which she quickly swiped off, trying to put on a brave face. "Well, the one night I had spent there was the night I made the biggest mistake of my life and accepted a bet from one ... asshole".
"A bet?" Melody was deeply hurt, and from what I could tell, shocked to her very core.
"Yes, but ..."
"I was a bet to you? My safety, my health, my life ... that was all just a bet for you?!" she got off the bed and covering her face with her hands, she turned away from me and just stopped. I thought she was going to storm out of the room, but she just stood there and started sobbing, which immediately shattered my heart into a million pieces.
"No, not at all. I was an idiot, I didn't even know how important you actually were to me then, and how much I was in love with you." I started justifying my actions, even though I knew Melody wouldn’t find any of my words comforting.
"I need you to know that I had no idea it was going to turn out this badly, I even tried my best to stop everything... in the beginning it was supposed to be a benign prank, but when I wanted to cancel everything the guy just wasn't in the mood to take NO  for an answer, and he made everything even worse. "
"Wait... not only did you orchestrate the entire horror, but you also knew that you won't be able to stop it and it never occurred to you to warn me?!" I could see how low I stooped in Melody's eyes and it made me feel like the biggest moron in the world. I hated being helpless. The one time I was supposed to use all of my power to save my beloved wife, I failed. I knew this damage was beyond repair, but I had to try harder. I loved her too much to let something as stupid as this break us apart.
"I am a fool. A moron. An idiot. A total and complete jerk. But I love you more than life itself. You are the melody to my life, you are MY LIFE. My Melody. You've given my life a new dimension, and from this point, I can't even believe I didn't do more to protect you after promising I will do so every day until death do us part. Please, will you ever be able to forgive me?" I came to her, took her shaking hand into mine waiting for an answer.
"I guess you lied," she said pulling her hand out of mine and wiping the tear that almost rolled down her cheek.
"What?" I asked in shock starting to feel angry and desperate at the same time.
"You are just a terrific actor, and I'm the fool, not you. I'm the idiot who failed to see just how brilliant you actually are. You've won an Oscar for God's sake," Melody started to speak and I could see her emotions just as mixed as mine were. With smiles and tears taking turns on her face, the tears kept rolling down her cheeks but she hasn't sobbed for a second. "I just wish I was smarter, but unfortunately I let my heart lead me. I'll make sure never to make the same mistake again," Melody said and started walking out the door when I chased after her.
"You're not going anywhere," I said grabbing her by her shoulder only making her tremble under my touch.
"Jared, let go of me," Melody cried out only making me hug her from behind, pressing her back firmly against my chest.
"No. You can't go. I won't let you! You're mine! This isn't a good enough reason for you to leave," I was whispering in her ear as she tried to break out of my embrace. This hurt me even more. I was never happier than when she melted in my arms, and now all I could feel was terror and ice coldness from my little birdy.
"I will never be yours again, Jared," she sobbed and my heart sunk to my stomach. Swiftly turning her around, Melody looked me in the eye but barely saw me. All I could see were fear, disappointment and sadness in her eyes. I wanted to disappear then and there. I wished for a time machine to take me back to that stupid day when I made that outrageous bet and ruined both of our lives.

Phoenix -- Chapter 16
Tumblr media
Jane:
May passed in a blur of hotel rooms, radio studios, fundraisers, and airport shuttles, punctuated with wistful Skype calls with Jared that ultimately left me more frustrated than anything else. Mars had only had a few tour dates in May, but that was mostly due to Jared being booked solid on other commitments, and between the two of us, we were as overscheduled as two people could possibly be. By the time June rolled around, whenever I called I could see the tired puffiness in Jared's eyes, puffiness that matched my own. I missed him terribly but there was nothing to be done about the situation. We both had our commitments.
My book tour finally rolled down in June, and the first thing I did was fly home and sleep for most of three days. Jared's tour had picked back up again with nearly back to back European shows, and Roger was finishing up part of a shoot in the Czech Republic. The house felt empty without him and his big presence. We'd only lived there for a few months before we both had to leave, and I couldn't seem to find the vibe of my normal life there no matter how hard I tried. I hadn't made many friends in LA yet, I was still miserly with my personal attachments, and I found myself with nothing to distract me from a sort of creeping loneliness. Since Roger and Gretchen had worked things out the bakery was no longer off limits, so I popped down there for a late lunch in hopes that she might find some time to sit down with me and chat.  The bakery had a small cafe attached; a small room with a coffee house vibe that was what had initially drawn me and Roger in. It was scattered with granite topped bistro tables, tall upholstered dining chairs, and lots of plants. There was a fireplace along one wall, and a low leather sofa and some matching chairs that sat in front of it. This late in the afternoon the lunch crowd had already gone, and Gretchen was busy wiping down tables.  She looked up as I came in and a smile of recognition spread across her face.    “Jane! You're back in town!” she called out as she tucked the towel she had been using into the front pocket of her apron. “It's so good to see you again. How are things?”    “Odd,” I confessed as I walked past the counter. “This doesn't quite feel like home yet. Not when I'm alone in that big house.”    Gretchen nodded knowingly before making her way behind the display case. “I can see how you would feel that way. You just need to give it some time.” She pulled out a tray.  “The usual?”    “Yes, please.”   I watched as Gretchen pulled a tub of my favorite salad filling out of the cooler and made me a sandwich on one of her bakery's big flaky croissants. She added a half salad and two lattes before taking the tray over to one of the small cafe tables.    “Justin, I'm taking my break,” she called out to the teenager at the register as she directed me to one of the tables. Whether it was Gretchen's sunny disposition or the way the faux fireplace flickered comfortingly a few feet away I could quickly feel myself settling down. She set the salad and one of the lattes in front of her and watched me with patient brown eyes until I had settled in with my lunch. “Come on and fill me in.”    “Not much to tell,” I said as I blew on my coffee. “I've just been sleeping and puttering around the house. I'm thinking about getting new furniture for the sun porch. The wicker feels so dated...”    Gretchen rolled her eyes. “That's not what I mean. Tell me about that gorgeous boyfriend of yours. Have you seen him again? Are things getting steamy?”    I was surprised Roger hadn't filled her in. “Yes. To both questions,” I replied with a little blush, thinking of the night Jared and I had spent together on my birthday, the last time I had seen him. “At least they were getting steamy. It's been six weeks since we were together. I mean, we talk and all, but I miss him, you know?”   “Yeah, I know, believe me,” Gretchen replied with a sigh and I remembered that it had been a while since she had been able to be with Roger.    “I'm sorry. Of course you know.”    “Well, Roger will be back in a little over two weeks. How much longer until you get to see Jared?”    “I don't know, actually. I'm supposed to be working on this teaser for my agent, but I'm thinking of putting that off until later. I can't seem to settle down and write anything, my head is too full. I'm leaving for Nepal next Wednesday, then I've got a fundraiser in New York, an awards dinner there, and then vacation at my parents' house. Jared's schedule is even worse than mine, full all the way until September, to be honest. He's wrapping up some tour dates, and then he starts shooting a movie, and they're doing this video in Antarctica... it's crazy. And of course you know that Roger starts shooting in Wales in September, and I have that mini UK tour, and I was going to meet up with him some then, and didn't Jared say he had more concerts in September? Why am I just now remembering that?”    Gretchen laughed. “Breathe, hon. Wow, that's a lot of dates to juggle. I can't decide if the two of you are really great at time management or really bad at it. Don't you plan time off?”    “The Nepal trip and the trip to my parents are supposed to be time off.”    “Well, it doesn't sound like you're very relaxed about it.”     “No, it's not that, I'm not stressed about those dates. I'm actually really looking forward to the Kathmandu Valley trek I'm doing, and of course I miss my parents. But dating Jared has seriously complicated things. It's one thing to be this busy. It's another thing to have to fit a relationship in on top of it. Then to try to fit in a relationship with someone who's even busier than me... I wasn't kidding all this time when I said I was too busy to date. I don't know if I can do this, Gretchen. And that terrifies me because I want so much for this to work. I love being with Jared.”     Gretchen smoothed her curls and regarded me for a moment. “Well, maybe you just need to get creative.”    “Please tell me you're not about to suggest some version of phone sex because seriously, I'm already over the Skype dates...”    “No. I just meant maybe you need to think differently about your plans and time off. There has to be somewhere in there to shoehorn in a day or two together. What does Jared have to say about all this?”   “He misses me too. But he can't exactly drop his tour to hang out with me.”    “Who says he has to? You said you were probably going to drop that thing for your agent so you have a few extra days off. Where is he now?”    “Uhm... Germany. I think.”   “Then why are you here?”    “Well... I was exhausted..." I hedged.    “Okay, are you still exhausted?”    “No, but it's complicated. I can't just fly out there and hang out with him.” I frowned and pushed my sandwich away from me. “How much has Roger told you about...”    “Jared's brother who broke your heart and made you swear off dating for four years?” Gretchen cut me off.    “Okay, so I guess the subject has come up,” I chuckled, trying to shake loose the gloom I could already feel settling around the table.    “Yes, Roger's not the best secret keeper. To be fair though, I grilled him pretty hard about how on earth you ended up dating Jared Leto. So he told me everything.” I must have gotten a look on my face at that point because she hastily added, “Yes, that too. Please don't be mad at him though.”  "I'm not mad, but I am surprised. Roger is actually one of the best secret keepers I know. He never tells someone else's secrets without a reason. It can be hard to even get him to reveal much about himself. He must really like and trust you."     Gretchen blinked in surprise. “Wow. He is so open with me about everything I just assumed I guess. I hope you're right about that, about how much he likes me. I'd hate to think it's just me that's so smitten. But we aren't talking about me and Roger. You were about to tell me why you can't possibly go see Jared even though you're missing him so much you can't even be alone in your own house.”    “It's not... it's just... I mean the last time that we were in the same room together Roger and Jared nearly came to blows and I slapped Shannon. If Roger hadn't grabbed me I'd have done it again. The worst part wasn't even all that though, it was the things he said...and the ones that I said back.”    Gretchen seemed to consider the situation carefully. “Does Jared think that Shannon will react like that again?”    “Well, we haven't specifically talked about that,” I mumbled as I stared at the table. Although that was technically true, Jared had urged me several times to fly out and see him. I was the one who was too afraid of how Shannon might react, and it wasn't just Shannon's reaction I feared. My own emotions were a toxic soup. I was afraid of more anger from Shannon, more hurtful remarks, or some underhanded trick like the e-mail stunt he had pulled. Even more, I was afraid I would see hurt in his eyes, that I would feel guilty about my relationship with Jared and things would be spoiled. “What if he isn't angry? What if he's just hurt to see me and Jared together.”    “Then he'll have to grow up and get over it,” Gretchen supplied matter-of-factly. "He's an adult, not a teenage boy."    “No, that's not what ...” I swallowed as I tried to find the words. “If he's hurt, and I feel bad... what does that mean? Does it mean I still care? And if I feel guilty for being with Jared, does that mean that deep down I know that it's wrong?”    “It means that you're human and kind and that you don't like to see people hurting no matter what they might have done to you. That isn't something you should feel bad about.”   “Maybe,” I said, unconvinced. “I think I'd rather he yell at me again. If I had to choose between the two options.”    “I think there's a third option that you're even more afraid of.”     “What?”     “That he won't care. That you'll show up on Jared's arm and Shannon will just say hello and keep on walking. Like it's nothing.”     “No, that would be ideal,” I said, but it felt like a lie. I hadn't even considered that as one of the possibilities, but now that Gretchen had mentioned it, it made me far sicker to think about it than anything else. Perhaps my subconscious had kept that particular scenario buried for a reason.     Gretchen reached across the table and took my hand. “All right. But it's okay to want him to care. And it's okay to still have some feelings about him. From what Roger tells me, things were very intense between you two. Just don't let it derail what you have now with Jared.”     “I am letting it get in the way, aren't I? Maybe I'm doing that on purpose though. Subconsciously I mean. Keeping things from getting too intense with Jared so that I don't get hurt again. So maybe I do, on some level, think I shouldn't be with Jared? But he makes me so happy..."    Gretchen dropped my hand. "Oh my god, you have got to get out of that head of yours before you make yourself crazy. I get you don't quite trust yourself yet, but if you're waiting for some guarantee that no one is going to get hurt, well that's not how relationships work."    "I suppose you're right..."    “Of course I am. So when's your flight?”
   ######     I went home and pulled up the schedule Jared's assistant had sent over. As I compared the dates I blinked several times, thinking maybe I was seeing them wrong. How could I have missed this? I flipped over to Roger's schedule, confirming what I saw. If I was able to catch a sleeper flight tonight, I could join Jared in Italy, follow along with the band for five days, and then we could meet up with Roger in Prague. From there I could just head straight to Kathmandu. Everything fitted together perfectly. It was just a matter of booking and changing some flights. I knew it would be okay with Jared if I came. He had been asking for weeks. I had just let my fear of seeing Shannon again keep me from agreeing.    Marisol got all the information and made the arrangements for me, booking me into a hotel down the road from where the band would be staying so I could both surprise Jared and avoid Shannon if necessary. Once I had finally landed and stood at the marble-topped reception desk at the Relais dell'Orolgio my heart started to race, and not for the right reasons. I had a sudden and unmercifully vivid vision of exactly what had happened the last time I tried to surprise my touring boyfriend at his hotel.    Everything will be okay, Jane. You two aren't exclusive, you've made that crystal clear, so if he's with someone it's not a betrayal of you. You're going to call him and not just pop up at his door. There won't be any ugly surprises. He wants you here. He's going to be happy to see you.    In spite of my little pep talk, I still had to take a shower to wash away the nervous sweat I had broken out in and calm my nerves. Once I had finished and redressed, I stretched out on the bed with my phone in my hand while I surveyed my surroundings. The hotel was a converted 14th century home and since such rooms tended to run small, Marisol had booked me a suite. It was a beautiful space, with exposed wooden beams in the ceiling in one area of the room and exposed brickwork in the other. A shuttered window opened onto the narrow street below. It had a very Italian feel to it, and I hoped I could persuade Jared to spend the night here rather in whatever modern accommodations they had probably ended up in.    I tapped the screen of my phone a few more times, wondering what Jared would be up to right now. They should have arrived from their previous stop well over an hour ago, but I knew that schedules on the road were sometimes just a suggestion. I didn't want to catch him before he even got into town. I told myself it would spoil the surprise, so I texted Shayla instead, the whole time wondering if I was really just putting off the meeting out of fear. Maybe inviting myself along for almost an entire week was a bad idea. Shayla responded within minutes.    He should be in his room already. Call him. He'll be thrilled.   I smiled at the screen. I hadn't said I was anxious but obviously she had picked up on my hesitation. I took a deep breath and selected Jared from my contact information before taking a seat in front of that darling little window. He picked up after only the second ring. I smiled, knowing that phone of his was in his hand as usual.   “Hey,  Jane. This is a surprise. What time is it there? Did you stay up really late or just get up really early?'    I opened the window and let the sounds of the street filter into the room. “Oh, I was out all night. I didn't sleep at home.” I told him, thinking of my transatlantic journey.    “Oh.” His voice instantly became oddly flat. “Yeah, I mean it's none of my business I guess, you've been clear. I'm sorry. I probably shouldn't have asked.”   “What? No, you dolt, but I bet you get a lot of exercise jumping to conclusions like that. I was on a plane. I slept on the flight.”   “Oh! God, I'm sorry," Jared quickly backpedaled.  "I'm just tired and turned around I guess. We just got to Italy and It's been a little crazy this leg. This week especially. Too much time off I think, and everyone is having trouble getting back into the swing of the tour. I miss you so much.” I heard the noise fade and a click as a door shut in the background. I wondered if he was expecting one of our steamy phone sessions or if he just wanted a little privacy. Of course,  he was supposed to be in his own room, so who could he possibly want privacy from? My stomach tightened.   "I'm sorry. I guess I'm interrupting something.”    “No, I was just unpacking. Nothing for you to interrupt. But I thought you were supposed to be done with the tour and getting some proposal written? Where did you have to fly to?”    I chastised myself for doing the same conclusion jumping I had just accused Jared of. It was none of my business who he was with in that hotel room, and the reason it was none of my business was my own stupid need to keep him at arm's length. If I wanted to change the terms of our relationship I needed to talk to him about it, not get into a snit over a closed door. “Well, I didn't have to fly anywhere, but I wasn't feeling at home in the new place by myself so I thought I'd get out of there for a while.”    “Did you fly back to New York? You did say you kept the old place there right? God, I'd love to be there right now. Maybe when we have a free weekend we could go stay, hit the museums and maybe go out with some people? You know, like a real couple?”   “No, not New York,” I said mysteriously, ready to lead him to my surprise. “So where are you right now? Italy? Where in Italy?”   “Pisa. Have you been? It's beautiful. We should take a vacation together soon. It would be nice to have your undivided attention for a few days.”    I felt my lips drawing up into a smile. He was so insistent. There was nothing petty in his requests for more of my time, just an honest desire for the company of a girlfriend he already saw too little of. It wasn't like I didn't feel that way too. The situation was frustrating, being separated from him as much as I was when it felt like we had only just started. I realized flying here was the best decision I could have made. My insecurities were ridiculous. “Would you like to show me around Pisa sometime?”    Jared hesitated for a second “Well, I don't know about Pisa. I've only been here a few times on tour myself, but we could explore the city together. That would be a lot of fun.”    “Why don't you go exploring now and you can give me a full report?”   Jared laughed. “I do actually have an afternoon free but I'm probably going to stay in and work some things for the video shoot. I can wait for you.”    “Hmmm. That's a shame. You're at the NH Pisa right?”    “Yeah, the .. wait, how do you know that?”   “I have your itinerary, remember? Anyway, that's a gorgeous area. You know, if you head out of the hotel and hang a right, go down about two blocks, there is the adorable little pensione, an older place with a doorman out front...”     I could hear realization dawning in Jared's voice. “Jane, where exactly did you fly to last night?”     I continued on. “... and from what I understand, room 327 has a gorgeous view of the piazza. You should really go see it.”    There was a sound on the other end of the line like a hungry growl. “God, you are fucking perfect. You have no idea how good your timing is. Give me ten minutes.”    “You have five.”    “I'll take fifteen then," Jared said defiantly.    “Oh goodness, I'm so tired from this long flight," I sighed dramatically. "I might just all asleep and not hear the door. You know, if someone were to knock on it, in this mysterious hotel room I have in no way told you where it is located.”    “Ten minutes, Jane. And don't you dare refuse to open that door to me.”    “What are you going to do about it if I do?”   There was another one of Jared's growls, and the sound settled right behind my core. "Make sure it's a mistake you never make again."     Before I could give him another smart assed answer the line went dead. I smiled at my phone and waited for his visit.

The kid of Mars – Chapter 71 – Do you believe?
Catherine was gathering her documents in order to go to her appointment with the obstetrician. “Are you sure you don’t want me to go with you.” Jared asked as he walked out of the bathroom still half naked. He had left Ricky for a couples of hours so he could have some rest and take a bath, however he was already getting ready to leave once again. It was everything back to how it was 3 months earlier “I’m sure honey. I’ll just talk to my doctor and clarify some doubts. It would be a waste of time for you. You should use it to be with Ricky or to sleep a little bit more.” She answered while helping him buttoning his shirt. “Babe, please… You have to tell me if there’s something wrong with you or the baby.” Jared almost begged. “It’s like the third time you have appointments that were not planed.” His tired eyes showed fear as he spoke and Catherine felt bad for giving him even more stuff to worry about but she had to do what she had planned without Jared knowing. There was no way she was going to give him false hopes so she decided to wait for the results before telling him. “I promise it’s everything ok. But we’ve been under some stress so I wanted to make sure it didn’t affect our little one. Besides you aren’t the only one who likes to have things planned, I want to make sure I won’t have any surprises when the time comes.” Jared seemed a little more convicted after listening to her words. “When the time comes I won’t leave your side for a second.” He warned and kissed her on the lips.
Some hours later Catherine left the doctor office holding the confirmation she needed. She got on her way to meet Jared and Ricky while thinking in how she would break the news to him. When she arrived near the boy’s room, she found Jared on the hall, trembling a little bit, his head lowered and hidden between in hands. “Jared, what’s wrong?” She immediately asked, fearing the worse. “Ricky… He’s getting sicker. Probably some infection. He has started coughing and his temperature is rising.” Jared replied, it was obvious that he had been crying. “Hey. I’m sure they will give him some antibiotics and solve the problem.” Catherine tried to comfort him. “It’s not that easy, the doctors told me his kidneys won’t stand much more medication. But what about you? What have the doctor told you?” He tried to change the subject. Catherine took a deep sighed before handling him the papers she had with her. “You’ll understand what I’ve been doing after reading this.” Jared stared at her, his eyes showing even more worry than before. “Don’t worry it’s not about the baby. She’s great.” Catherine immediately eased him. “She? I thought we’ve decided to wait until the birth to find out.” The worry was now replaces by some disappointment and confusion. “I couldn’t have done this without finding out the gender. I’m sorry honey. But now please read it.” She tried to persuade him before he started taking conclusions. Jared reluctantly started reading the papers.
“You tested the baby!” That was an accusation and he seemed almost angry. “Well, you could have told me you were going to risk the life of my child.” He was raising his voice, but Catherine decided to ignore it, taking into account the amount of stress he had been under lately. “I didn’t risk the life of our child. If you read it with attention you would realize that they searched for the baby’s cells in my own blood. Nothing potentially harmful was made.” She patiently explained, as if she was talking with a kid. “What matters here is the result. Don’t you see that they are compatible?” Catherine pointed to the only bit that really mattered in that paper. Jared started walking around probably processing what she had just told him. He eventually stopped at Ricky’s door and stared at him. The boy seemed more fragile than ever with a ventilation mask and wires all around him. “It’s the solution we’ve been looking for. All they need is the baby’s umbilical cord. She will never be at risk…” Catherine walked to his side and held his hand. “We should have done this together. The idea had already crossed my mind but… but I was scared that it would change the way I see the baby. I don’t want to start thinking of it... she as someone who exists to allow my other kid to be alive.” Jared had tears running down his cheeks once again. His head was really turning into a mess. “You should be more confident on your parenting skills. I’m sure this baby will be no less than a huge daddy’s girl and you’ll treat her like a princess for the rest of her life. But I’m sorry for not talking with you before making the test. I just didn’t want to create expectations.” Jared shook his head and smiled a tiny bit. “I don’t deserve you. I guess we have some pink baby stuff to buy now.” Catherine also smiled and put her arms around his body. “I never took you as someone with those kind of gender stereotypes.” She joked. “You have to believe in me. If anything we’ll see her as a blessing even bigger than what she already is.” Jared took the chance to tenderly kiss her, as if he was searching for some comfort. “I believe you. I just don’t know if…. If Ricky can wait for her.” To that Catherine didn’t have an answer. No one could tell if the little boy would still be alive in two months without being treated.
Ricky choose that moment to start moving and to take the mask out of his face. Jared immediately ran to his side. “Hey buddy, take it easy. The mask helps you breath.” He tried to put it back put Ricky showed resistance and was trying to talk “Where is my mom?” Jared got speechless with the child’s question. He certainly was out of his mind, the hallucinated look in his eyes said so, but he had no idea of how to react. “She is not here honey. You have to calm down.” Catherine tried to do something since Jared was completely apathetic. “You’re not my mommy. I want my mom.” His eyes immediately got filled with tears and he started screaming for his mother. “Look at me Ricky. Look at me buddy.” Jared finally tried to do something however he was already crying too. Catherine had left to call someone. “It’s me. I’m your dad. You are with me now.” He was holding the boy so he wouldn’t move and hurt himself. “You live with me, with Catherine, you have a dog and you’ll have a baby sister very soon.” He just continued talking in an effort to wake the kid. “I taught you how to play guitar but what you really love is drawing and painting. I promised we are all going on a snow trip as soon as you get better.” He was rocking the boy in his arms, the sound of his screams for his mother were being hushed by his dad’s shirt. When his doctor got into the room the boy was already almost asleep once again, but he asked Jared to step away so he could check the kid. Jared did so and felt into Catherine’s arms. He was still crying, but he didn’t care anymore about who saw. He was almost feeling like screaming for his mother too. Catherine was caressing his back and his head, without knowing what to say. She didn’t know if Ricky could wait for the birth of his sister, but she was also starting to get worried about Jared and wondering in what condition he would by the time.

Bright Lights: Chapter 56 - Floating
Tumblr media
hey guys, It’s been a while
Tagging:  @fyeahproudglambert @msroxyblog@meghan12151977 who i think is @llfd1977 now @maulapaulawaula @teggles07 (if anyone else desires a tagging, lemme know)
I sat at the servery of Jared’s kitchen watching as Jared and Shannon played with Penelope. They were so good with her it warmed my heart.
“Phoebs,” I heart softly, I looked up at my sister. “This is a lot,”
“What do you mean,”
“Like, you just changed my life, and my daughter’s life, and what if I can’t deliver,”
“Riley,” I laughed.
“how is this funny?” She snapped.
“You’re right,” I said putting on a serious face. “you were saying?”
“I’ve not played drums in years, and I wasn’t even that great, how am I supposed to do this justice?”
I couldn’t help it, I started laughing. “I’m glad you’re taking your career seriously,”
“I am,” I said letting the laughter subside.
“Phoebe!!” She snapped. I felt Jared and Shannon look over at us.
“Look,” I said actually getting a grip of myself. “I’m sorry, I’m super tired but I just had a glimpse of how I sound to the Leto’s” I smiled
“Right,” she said crossing her arms just as Shannon walked over. There was also a knock on the door, which I assumed was Connie. Jared asked her to get a couple of supplies for the baby. “as for the other stuff, we’ll figure it out tomorrow, okay?” I said making sure I was being as sincere as possible, her anxieties were kind of valid right now. “You’ll pick everything up like a pro,”
“Drums?” Shannon asked as he put his arm around my back. I looked up at him and nodded. “Phoebs is right, we’ve got time,”
“A week,” she grumbled.
“He’s a pro,” I smiled.
“Oh, and who is this little one,” I heard we all looked over at Jared holding Nelly up at the door. Connie was cooing over the baby in her son’s arms.
“Meet Nelly,”
“Hey there, little Nelly,” Connie smiled playing with her. I followed Shannon’s lead by walking over to the trio.
“Hey Mom,” Shannon said giving her a warm hug.
“Hey son, Phoebe,” she said hugging me tightly. “Congratulations, lovely”
“Thank you,” I grinned as she pulled back. “I see you’ve met my niece,” I smiled.
“She could pass as your daughter,”
“I think one of your sons said that” I grinned. “this is my sister, Riley,” I said motioning to Riley.
“Hey, Riley,” Connie said hugging her too. “Congratulations on your own little victory,”
“Thanks,” Riley smiled kindly. “Such a huge relief. “
“I bet,” Connie smiled. “I have supplies, they’re in the car, Jared why don’t you hand the baby over and you and your brother get them?” she ordered.
“Sure,” Jared said without hesitation he turned and handed Nelly to me.
“Which room were they taking?” Connie asked of her son.
“The one furthest from the studio,”
“Alright,” Connie called. “Ladies, let’s go set this room up for a child,” the three of us followed Connie down to the bedroom. It was a nice room, perfect for Riley and Penelope for the next little while. Jared had a TV and drawers and stuff so she could have her own space. “She’s at the crawling stage?”
“Correct,” Riley told. “She's starting to pull herself up tiny bit,” she added.
“Oh, they grow so fast,”
“They do,” Riley laughed.
“She has barely changed,” I said trying to be a part of the conversation.
“you met her like 2 weeks ago,” Riley pointed out.
“Not the point,” I laughed.
There was a noise down the hallway then Jared appeared in the doorway followed by Shannon.
“I think we need to take mom on a journey of what ‘one night’ means,” Jared teased putting stuff on the bed. Shannon did the same.
“Explain,” my Leto said as he unloaded. “there’s still another load each for us,”
“Babies are a lot,” Connie said walking to the bed. I looked down at the child.
“A couple of diapers and a change of clothes was all she needed? No?” I asked looking up to Shannon.
“That’s what I thought,” Shannon said. I felt we understood each other.
“Yeah, you obviously have never spent much time around kids,” Riley grumbled. I kinda wanted to punch her in the face.
“Hmm, it’s a lot more than people realize.”
“Right,” I said walking over to Shannon who was looking through a bag. “Well, you know you could teach us instead of telling us how wrong we are,” I said reaching into the bag pulling out a funny looking brush. “What does this do?”
“It looks like a toilet cleaner,” Shannon laughed as Nelly grabbed hold of it.
“Close,” Connie said walking over taking the bag off her son. “It’s a bottle cleaner.” She smiled kindly taking a bottle out of the bag. “I think Phoebe should take the sleepy baby and make a bottle, while Riley and I set this stuff up, and the boys finish their task too,” Connie said handing me a bottle then a big container of whatever.
“I’ve ne-“
“put water in it to the 600, then put four scoops in and shake it good, then nuke it for a bit, you want it lukewarm.” She told me.
“Right,” I said.
“Come on Rockstar, it’s just a bottle,” she teased. I shook my head and walked off.
“Hey,” I heard as I neared the end of the hall. I turned to see Shannon right behind me. “You have a really cute butt,”
“Thanks,” I grinned. “you have a cute smile,”
“Thanks,” he grinned, I stopped before the end of the hall and let him catch up and kiss me. “You fairing okay?”
“Yeah,” I smiled. “I kind of feel like I’m floating.”
“Yeah,” he said pulling me in doing the best he could at hugging me even with all the stuff in my arm. “Mom got some dinner, we’ll all stop and eat that soon,” he said I smiled at him.
“I should make this bottle,”
“Okay,” he grinned. “I love you,”
“I love you too,” I smiled he kissed me again
I walked in and around the kitchen doing what Riley and Connie had instructed me to do it was a lot easier than my brain was telling me it was going to be. I walked back t the room.
“Ri,” I said to her, and Connie were putting a portable cot together. “Is this okay?” I asked she held her hand out for the bottle tipping in her wrist.
“Perfect Aunty Pheebs” she smiled. I smiled back walking around the bed and climbing up sitting with the baby in a comfortable position. Letting her feed. “when she’d about half way, burp her,”
“Okay,” I nodded.
I watched everyone come in and out doing their thing, Jared and Shannon did whatever Connie ordered them to do until Jared announced he was serving dinner. Connie decided we would have it in here, so we could all help Riley get comfortable.
Shannon walked around the side of the bed when he finished the last task Connie set for him. Without saying a word hi climbed on the bed behind me and pulled Nelly and me back into him. He pushed his mouth into the exposed part of my neck. His beard tickling like crazy.
“Goosebumps?” he whispered a moment after the appeared on my body. “hmm,” he sighed kissing further up my neck.
“Stop,” I laughed.
“Really?” he laughed kissing my back again.
“Yes,” I said leaning back into him letting him kiss me before my ear. “for now, at least, I have a child in my arms,”
“Okay,” he said kissing my cheek. He stopped kissing me but kept holding me, which I was completely okay with. I looked down at nelly, she was almost asleep but halfway through her bottle.
“do I still burp her?” I questioned.
“Yeah,” Shannon whispered helping me sit her up properly. “the wind gives them a tummy pain,”
“Oh,” I said
“Alternate between petting her back and rubbing circles,”
“I thought Shannoebe was babyily impaired?”
“I fed a friend’s baby a few times,” he laughed “Don’t get any ideas,”
“Not this vagina anytime soon,” I laughed.
“That’s why you’re my perfect kitten,” he laughed kissing my head.
“perfect Career Kitten,” I said just as Penelope let out a massive burp. “Woah,” I laughed looking down at her.
“Now I can tell she’s related to Phoebe,” Jared said as he walked into the room.
“Because there was any doubt?” Riley laughed. “I’m her clone, but Nelly is her clooone”
“Well,” Jared laughed. “Riley’s case is getting more and more proven.” He grinned handing me my dinner.
“That’s why I like your brother better,”
“He probably agrees,”
“Yeah, but his mou-“ Shannon’s hand went over my mouth.
“Mother in the room,”
“And baby,” Riley laughed pointing at the squirming child in my arms. I looked down at her and gave her the bottle back picking at my dinner as she ate hers. The talk was mostly about the day, how well I did, how thankful Riley was. Something about rehearsal. Something about an aeroplane… I closed my eyes for a small moment.
“Hey, kitten,” I heard, man I loved Shannon, but he needed to not right now. “Phoebs,”
“Hmm,” I groaned leaning into him.
“Let’s go to bed,”
“I’m in bed,” I groaned.
“You’re in my bed, sis.”
“Riley?” I opened my eyes and looked at her…. “I really need to get used to you being around,”
“Yeah,” she laughed dorkishly.
“Your laugh is dorky,” I said sitting up. “Where’s the kid?” I asked looking around seeing her with Connie as I heard a sniffle. I furrowed my brows and looked over at Riley. “Ri?” she shook her head and looked away. “What’s wrong?” I asked. She shook her head and held her hand up taking a deep breath composing herself. When she looked up at me her face was contorted, and she was fighting against her lip quivering.
“I haven’t heard you say that in so long,”
“Oh,” I said looking down at my knees. I guess small things were kinda big things in a family that was shattered to pieces. Shannon soothed my shoulder. “Well,” I shrugged driving across the bed tackling her down.
“Phoebe!!” she half laughed half screamed.
“Better get used to it dorky little RiRi,” I said pulling her into a bear hug over the top of me. I loved hearing her giggle. It was refreshing I couldn’t help but join in
“Guys watch ou-“ Connie called as we both fell off the bed into a heap. I couldn’t help but laugh my butt off as I held the elbow that hit the bedside table. “You’re both goofballs,” Connie laughed shaking her head.
“This one is my goofball,” Shannon said offering me his hand which didn’t hesitate in taking, helping Riley to a standing position as soon as I was confident on my feet. “Let’s go to bed,” Shannon said wrapping his arms around me from behind squeezing tight. My mind suddenly clicked to bed, but not sleep. He was so devious.
“Okay,” I smiled hugging my sister, Connie and Nelly before following Shannon to bed. Jared must’ve gone to bed or whatever. He was nowhere to be seen.
“You doing okay?” Shannon asked with his arm around my waist as we crossed the house.
“I’m okay enough to have sex,”
“I told you, your head is more important than me having sex,”
“I’m okay,” I grinned opening the door to the backyard. He grabbed me and pushed me into the wall between the main house and the guest house. He kissed me hard then put his head against mine. I wrapped my arms around his neck, his hands were on my waist. It was all I could think of.
“Talk to me,” he said softly, but I kinda felt like he was begging me too talk at the same time.
“I am okay,”
“Yeah, but you’re kinda not okay too,” he said sternly. I let out a reluctant breath. “Baby,”
“I don’t know how to vocalise this feeling,”
“I feel like I am floating, and not in a good drug kind of way,” I blurted. “I have a huge feeling of ooh my fucking god my dream is coming true regarding the showcase then I have a huge feeling of what the fuck did I just do regarding Riley!” I told. “I have to teach her my entire setlist in a couple of days, and what if she doesn’t have the stamina? What if I can’t trust her? What if leaving Penelope with Mitchell is the complete and utter wrong thing for her?” I spilt. “What if I let you guys down because I let my sister back in my life,” I told
“You won’t let me down,”
“She’s toxic for me Shannon!”
“She has been,”
“You want to have sex and you’re baiting me?” I snapped dropping my arms.
“I’m not trying too bait you, Phoebe!” he told. “You’re tired and overreacting,”
“Shannon,” I warned looking him in the eyes.
“Look, you’ve not had a good support system before like you do now,” he said I went to talk but he cut me off. “Not since your dad and your brother,” could he actually read my mind? “life is a long journey, baby,”
“I know,” I said looking down.
“The only constant is change,” he said I looked into his eyes. “I know you’re over being bitter towards her, I can see it, you said it,”
“But what if it’s not for the best?”
“Only one way to know,”
“Yeah,” I said wrapping my arms around him hugging him as tight as I could.
“Just keep an open mind,”
“I don’t want to talk about it anymore,” I whined. He pulled back, so I looked him in the eyes. “Not today,”
“Babe,”
“I just want to forget, Shannon… for a minute,” I begged his face soften. “Help me forget?” he rose his eyebrows. I gave as cute as a grin as I could. He pushed his lips back into mine grabbing my legs pulling to his hips as my arms went back around his neck.
He turned and walked to the guest house dropping me on the bed feeling anywhere and everywhere he wanted too.
“I have to use the bathroom,” he said hovering over me.
“Okay baby,” I smiled.
“get yourself ready,” he said seductively as he pushed off the bed. I let out a soft giggle as I moved up the bed positioning the pillows behind me so I could see him when he came out. I put my thumbs in the top of my pants, this was all about timing. All I had to do was wait.
